Out of Iowa today comes a story about truckers, some of whom are planning to go on strike on April 1st. What they intend to accomplish by the strike is unclear. If you want to know what??s in store for the economy, one of the things you should be watching is the relationship of the price of diesel fuel to the price of gasoline. Ordinarily diesel should be within the range set by the price of regular unleaded, and premium. Have any of you paid attention to the cost of diesel fuel? It is over 4.20 a gallon and remember everything we buy is shipped by truck. Ammunition weighs a lot if you don't realize it. I heard there is a one day trucking strike coming April 1st due to the cost of fuel and insurance on a truck. The truckers want the fuel tax eliminated until the price comes down.
