HP’s Tabblo Inks Web-To-Print Deals With Disney, Flickr, and Others

Hewlett-Packard wants you to print as many digital photos and other content from the Web as possible. To that end, it bought Boston-based startup Tabblo last spring because of the software it developed to ingest any Web content on one end and spit it out in printable form on the other. Today, Tabblo announced a bunch of deals it’s been working on since it was acquired, including partnerships with Disney, Flickr, Windows Live Space, and the Graffiti Application for Facebook.

Unfortunately, not all edits which are good-intended actually contribute to the overall quality. Of course, edits which fix simple things like revert vandalism, fix a typo, update a number etc, are all good. But the rest pose a potential problem. First off, newcomers, while well-intented, simply do not know the way Wikipedia works. They may include unsourced or poorly sourced material, insert a POV without even realising it, piss off another editor by being careless (and thus start an edit war)...

Mark Zuckerberg strolled onto the stage at the Web 2.0 Summit dressed for the occasion. The baby-faced Facebook founder, who is known for doing business barefoot, actually wore shoes. Well, technically they were Adidas sandals complimented by rolled-up jeans and a zipper hoodie, but the young social networking entrepreneur wasn't there for a fashion show. He was there to talk about his company's unique financial situation, its application platform and its noted lack of data portability.
